Mother's Day

Mother's Day is about honoring all of our moms who worked so hard to get us were we at all the single hard working moms, the stay at home mom, homemaker grandmother, Aunts, older sister, and  cousins. mother's bring out the best in my life because I'm lucky to have my precious Mother Jacqueline Jordan, who raised me right and helped me to accomplish thing in life. But it's Not just  my mother it's all the mother in the world.

Mother's day started way back before I was even born. Back in 1862, Anna Jarvis Davis, hard working mother working as a home maker to raise the awareness of the poor health conditions. Back then it was called "Mother's Work Day." Fifteen year went by, Julia Ward writes Poems such as "Battle Hymn of the Republic" which motivates all mother to rally for peace, because of the belief that it was the bore of humans life is too harsh.
In  1905 Anna have gotten sick and died, and her daughter Anna Jr. started a memorial campaign for mother's day. Anna meet up with a business men such as John Wannamaker and Politicians Taft and Roosevelt to support her campaign that honors mothers. The celebration of Mother's day began at a church where Anna was handing out her mom's favorite flower the white carnation. Five years went by, the House of Representative recommends carnations for the officials of the federal government to wear on Mother's Day, and people started going to church on Mothers Day. Thanks to Anna, Mother's Day became the national holiday. People started writing letters, sending cards, gifts, and flowers.

Anna Jarvis became angry, because she felt as though Mother's day was used for expense, greed and profit. Therefore in 1923 she filed a lawsuit against the Mother's Day festival. She got arrested and charge for disturbing the peace. she then admitted that she regretted ever stating that tradition.

This may I say is how Mother's Day was started, and to all you mothers out there, Big sisters, Cousins, Aunties.................

Happy Mothers Day

Sincerely
J. Cousins

P.S I love my Dear Mother so very much!!!!!!!
